Gone to Pieces
Welcome to the website of the Gone to Pieces Quilt Group
We meet monthly, on the second Friday of each month, at Coleshill Village Hall, HP7 0LN.
Meetings begin at 12 noon and last until 3pm, but the hall is open from 11.30am so members and visitors can register and greet each other, as well as buy raffle tickets and use our extensive library of quilting and patchwork books.
Coffee, tea and biscuits are provided but most members also bring a packed lunch. We are a friendly group and visitors are welcome at any of our meetings with a Speaker. Our speakers
are all experts in the fields of quilting, patchwork or textiles and
sometimes they are drawn from our own membership.
Gone to Pieces members range from internationally exhibited quilters to those with less experience. We are not a teaching group , but we all benefit from the ideas, expertise and enthusiasm of other members.
There are occasional workshops led by members and regular Charity Block Drives for Charity Quilts as well as Linus Days where we make quilts to donate to Project Linus UK. Some of our Coffee Mornings are used to demonstrate different techniques, and others are to sit and sew and get to know fellow members.
Our August and December meeting are social events – in the summer we have an Afternoon Tea and in December a Christmas Lunch. These are for members only.
Gone to Pieces has been going strong for more than 30 years and is looking forward to the next 30 years.
