Quilts from exhibitions that Gone to Pieces has taken part in or held ourselves.
In 2018/2019, twenty-four Gone to Pieces members took part in an exchange with the Lippetal Quilt Group, Germany. Photographs on the theme of “Nature” were exchanged and each quilter made two quilts:
one based on their own photo and one on their exchange partner’s photo. This resulted in 96 quilts each 20cm by 60cm. The quilts have been displayed at various venues in Germany including the German Patchwork Guild Annual Exhibition in Dinkelsbuhl in May 2019.
At the Dinkelsbuhl Exhibition, the quilts were voted “People’s Choice for the Best Gallery”. The quilts will be exhibited at various venues in the UK in 2020 and 2021.

This exchange was a sequel to a previous one in 2013/2014 with the same group of German quilters.
That time 20 members of each group were involved and the quilts exhibited in Germany, round the UK with Grosvenor Exhibitions, the National Needlework Archive and the National Needle Museum.
